Aronia berry, which is widely used in Europe as a medicinal food, has been found to be an effective remedy for Type 1 diabetes. A study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food revealed that aronia berry can effectively reduce the increase of blood glucose level and protect pancreatic beta cells.
