Regular exercise and a healthy diet, particularly a low-fat, vegetarian diet, are associated with a more positive experience.
Ojeda delves into the psychological aspects of menopause, highlighting how a woman’s perception of her femininity can impact her experience.
“Women who have defined their femininity in terms of bodily functions may find menopause particularly challenging,” she writes. But Ojeda sees this transition as an opportunity for personal growth. “It’s a chance to rediscover yourself, to pursue new passions and to embrace the freedom that comes with this new phase of life.”
